What is a Box League?

A box league is a casual tennis league where players will be grouped into small groups with other people of a similar level, and will then play the others in their box, flexibly, at a time which suits both participants. Players will gain points for participating in matches, winning sets, and for winning matches. The person with the most points within their box at the end of the league will win their box, and earn a promotion in to the box above.

Whilst higher boxes are usually more competitively-charged, lower boxes are generally more relaxed, and the box league is primarily a mechanism to enable group members to find others to play who they may not usually play against, especially for the lesser-represented singles tennis – and hopefully find some hitting partners for the future.

Players will have 3 months to arrange and play their matches, gaining points for participation, winning sets, and maximum points for winning matches.
